Notice is given that at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2003, in the City of Yuba City City Council Chambers at 1201 Civic Center Boulevard, Yuba City, California, the Sutter County Local Agency Formation Commission will conduct a public hearing on the following item:

a. LAFCO-02-06: Tumber Reorganization No. 313 - A reorganization proposing to annex 477 North Harding Avenue to Yuba City and detach the property from County Service Area “G”. The Commission may consider expanding the proposal to include all unincorporated properties lying along Bridge Street, west of Walton Avenue and east of North Harding Road.

An Initial Study of the effects of the project has been made, and it has been revealed that there will be no significant adverse effects on the quality of the environment; therefore, a Negative Declaration has been prepared for the project and will be available for public review and comment at the LAFCO office beginning Wednesday January 1, 2003. Comments on the proposed Negative Declaration should be submitted in writing to LAFCO staff before the close of business on January 20, 2003.

Copies of the Executive Officer's staff report for the project will be available at the Local Agency Formation Commission's office (Sutter County Community Services Department), 1130 Civic Center Boulevard, Yuba City, CA, fives day prior to the hearing. All interested parties are invited to attend and express their opinions or provide written comments. If you challenge the proposed projects in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the Commission at, or prior to, the hearing.
